San Diego PR won big yesterday at the Public Relations Society of America – San Diego / Imperial Counties Chapter’s annual Edward L. Bernays Awards, taking home Silver and Bronze trophies for superior public relations work. The awards ceremony held at the Rancho Bernardo Inn in San Diego, brought agencies from two counties together to honored for outstanding campaigns, programs and tactics in the industry.
Silver awards are presented to entrants whose campaigns exceed a high standard of excellence and whose work serves as a benchmark for the industry. San Diego PR received a silver award in the community relations category for reconnecting San Diegans to Fiesta de Reyes in Old Town. A bronze award, which recognizes outstanding public relations tactics or individual components of a campaign, was given in the press conference category for the agency’s execution of a cross-border press conference for South County Economic Development Council.
“We are honored to have received these awards from such a prestigious organization as the Public Relations Society of America,” said Julia Simms, president and founder of San Diego PR. “Not only do these awards validate the high-quality, results-driven work that we are doing for our clients, they are a great morale-booster for our team.”
San Diego PR adds these awards to its growing list of achievements. Last year, the team was the recipient of a Silver Edward L. Bernays Award in the reputation management category for client SanDiego.com.
