With a name that says it all, San Diego PR is a new public relations agency based in San Diego’s South County that specializes in the San Diego and international border region. Launched in early September, San Diego PR was founded by the husband and wife team of Michael and Julia Simms.
The Simms, veterans of the communications industry, also formed Julia Simms Public Relations in 1995, which later became j. simms agency in 2006 when it evolved into a full-service branding and advertising firm serving real estate, hospitality and government clients. That firm was sold in 2011.
At San Diego PR, Julia Simms, APR, will hold the position of president with Michael Simms as the vice president of operations. A team of account executives, publicists and social media managers complete the mix.
